Preparing your quilt piece
First, you will need a graphic package. Your computer may have come to you with one pre installed eg. MS Paint or Mac Paint.
If you do not have one of the above - or if you want to use the package we recommend, log on to JASC and download Paint Shop Pro.
Make sure to select the application for your operating system - eg, win 3.11 or Win 95 / NT4.
Image sizes
Click on the image below and download this to your computer. We suggest that you save this to c:\temp if you are using a PC, or save to your desktop if using a Mac.
The image below (500 by 500 pixels) is the correct size - so by using this, it will save us time.
If you want to be most helpful, you could also save a Thumbnail this file at 150 x 150 pixels. If you are doing this save this file with an a at the end of the name.
Save the Thumbnail file as a 256 color image - or less if suitable to your quilt piece. This will ensure faster loading of the preview image.
Save the image preferably as a .gif file. If not available save as a Jpg, tiff or bmp.
Send the image by e-mail and attach the image.

Click on the above image using your
right mouse button (Left command + mouse button for Macs)
and download
to your computer
Some questions that you may have
You
can make the image any colour combination you wish - change the current
background (red) to suit your own needs.
You can use any space within the image - round - square - etc.
You can - if you have the equipment - draw - paint etc and then scan your image and save it to 500 x 500.
If you have any further questions or are ready to submit your donated graphic - click here.
We will accept multiple pieces - particularly from schools and youth clubs etc
You can make your image on any subject - but topics such as East Timor - human rights and freedom of expression and human dignity are obviously preferred.
As the quilt develops, we will divide this into continents and countries. This will allow you to see your communities action.
